Heidi Skolnik, MS, CDN, FACSM

Considered a thought leader in nutrition, Skolnik has influenced many through her media work, writing and thriving consulting business. She has been part of The Women’s Sports Medicine Center at Hospital for Special Surgery (NYC, NY) for over 20 years. Her company, Nutrition Conditioning, oversees the Performance Nutrition program at The Juilliard School and the School of American Ballet and she has consulted with numerous Broadway shows including Billy Elliot, An American in Paris, and Hamilton. Prior, Skolnik worked with NY Knicks Basketball (7 years), NY Giants Football (18 years), the NY Mets Baseball organization (15 years) and has worked with the NHL, MLS, WNBA, and Olympic, collegiate, high school and recreational athletes. Additionally, she sat on the board of The National Osteoporosis Foundation for 10 years and has co-authored 3 books including Nutrient Timing for Peak Performance; the right food, the right time, the right results (Human Kinetics, 2010). Skolnik has earned two Masters degrees (exercise physiology and human nutrition) and is a Fellow with the American College of Sports Medicine. Heidi is a sought-after presenter, consults to industry, acts as a resource to media, both tv and on-line, and is known for translating hard science into actionable steps to integrate into daily life. As a realist, Heidi believes M&M’s can fit into a healthy eating style along with red peppers, red meat, broccoli, and fresh fruit.
